How To Grow:
PREPARE
Put the Jiffy® soil pellets into a large bowl and add about 600ml of lukewarmwater. After 10 minutes you will have enough soil to fill your windowsill tin.Loosen the soil with a table fork and put your new soil into the pot.
SOW
- Make a small hole with the end of your finger in the soil foreach seed.
- Sow the seeds, cover with 3–5mm of the surrounding soil and firmgently.
- Water lightly and place in a warm, well-lit spot in your home.
- First shoots will appear in 20–40 days.
- When the young plants are approximately 5cm tall, thin them out to leaveonly the 4–5 strongest plants.
- This allows the flowers to have plenty of space to develop.
- The surplus seedlings can be planted into another pot or directly into thegarden.
CARE
- Feed with a half-strength liquid fertiliser every 2 weeks to promotehealthy growth.
- The soil should be kept moist, but not too wet.
- Water when soil changes colour from dark to light brown and feels dryto touch.
- After watering pour out any excess water from the drip tray, so the tindoesn’t sit in a pool of water.
