Popular in artisan baking, this Oval Proving Basket from Daily Bake (alsoknown as Banneton or Proofing Baskets) allows you to prove and imprint thebaskets rustic traditional design onto artisan breads.

Care Instructions:
Before first use, handwash the basket with a brush and warm water. Afterwashing, place the basket in the oven to dry for 20 minutes (120–130°C).Then place on a drying rack at room temperature to completely dry.
When dry, spray your new Proving Basket lightly with cooking oil and dustwith flour. Gently tap the back of the basket with your hand to remove anyexcess flour. Before each use, the Proving Basket should be firmly tapped toremove any excess flour or left over fragments remaining in the basket.
If required, spray the Proving Basket lightly with cooking oil and dust withflour. Brush the basket every 3–4 weeks with a dry brush.
Every 6 months, or more often if required, handwash the basket with a brushand warm water. After washing, place the basket in the oven to dry for20 minutes (120–130°C). Then place on a rack at room temperature tocompletely dry. After thorough drying, spray with cooking oil and dustwith flour.
When storing, place the Proving Basket on an airy surface to dry out, do notpile baskets up when damp. Do not store in plastic bags, allow basket tobreath.
